The NFL Playoffs were in full swing with the Denver Broncos getting ready to host the AFC Championship game

Near the crossing of Fish Creek I pulled the car over and captured this image where you could almost see blue sky which was a nice change after a few days in the fog

Walking around Civic Center Park I headed up the steps of the Colorado State Capitol and was treated with a nice view of the mountains with still some fall color in the area

This morning there was a system which was moving through which prevented a colorful sunrise as we have had the past couple of years

In Colorado there is always excitement for the first snow of the season in the city

I had photographed from this location before and had the idea of the shot I would like in my mind. Leaving my house it appeared a storm may be brewing and could obstruct the vision I had for that evening, however I pushed myself and got to the location just after sunset hoping to catch dusk over the city.
